It’s been all systems go for us here at Singlefile Estate. After the successful launch of the Estate in early November, we followed up with the release of our 2008 premium wines. And we hope you’ll be as impressed with them as we are.
Ray Jordan's WA Wine Guide 2008 has said of our 2007 Shiraz "this is a delicious soft and supple savoury plum shiraz. It's opulent and powerful and looks tremendously exciting".
In case you missed it, Singlefile Estate made its official debut on November 6, announcing this through a news release, along with the unveiling of our new website and online wine store.
Dedicated to producing world class wines, Singlefile Estate is regarded as an innovative new wine producer as we not only aim to offer you our customers top quality wine, but to engage you in the total wine experience from wine making to drinking and collecting.
Established by husband and wife team, Phil and Viv Snowden, the vineyard has undergone significant improvements and the 20 year old vines are producing excellent quality fruit which is translating into highly appealing wine from our skilful winemakers, Coby Ladwig and Brenden Smith.
“When you combine great fruit from the Singlefile Estate vines, with great wine makers and backed by the Snowdens’ dedication to excellence, you’ve got the recipe for exciting, premium wines that customers will love,” said Brenden Smith. For those of you wondering where you’ve heard that name before, Brenden is the former owner and chief winemaker of the hugely successful West Cape Howe Wines, so he definitely knows a thing or two about making great wine, and we’re thrilled to have him as part of the Singlefile Estate team.
Wine aficionados are in for a treat as the Singlefile Estate team’s previous experience and dedication to customers will see us connecting with wine fans like you, through the ‘Total Wine Experience’.
‘The Total Wine Experience’ will use Internet-related technologies such as video streaming and podcasts where customers can listen to the wine making team and watch informational videos capturing different stages of the wine making process. We’re excited to combine something like wine making which has been practised for centuries with today’s leading-edge Internet technologies.
Newsletter subscribers will be the first to learn how they can get involved in ‘The Total Wine Experience’ and the Singlefile Estate team is looking forward to sharing our wine making journey with you.
Now onto the good juice itself. Most recently Singlefile Estate introduced five signature wines from its 2008 release to sommeliers, restaurants, valued customers and newsletter subscribers. The pick of this adorable litter is the 2008 Reserve Chardonnay, an elegant, crisp and refreshing chardonnay with a subtle oak finish. This is winemaker Coby’s standout wine and he feels Singlefile Estate could develop a reputation based on this wine alone. Ray Jordan's WA Wine Guide 2008 has said of our 2008 Reserve Chardonnay "I love the barrel influence, which adds a smoky savoury character. Lovely texture and already showing some complexity".
The 2008 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is sure to please fans of this blend with its highly aromatic characters and citrus notes making it refreshing and zesty and perfect for the summer months ahead. Ray Jordan's WA Wine Guide 2008 has recently said of this wine "there's some brilliant punchy wine in here with stacks of passionfruit, dominant tropical fruits and a lovely citrus freshness".
The 2008 Unwooded Chardonnay is another enjoyable drop, tasting fresh and vibrant with stone fruit and melon notes, whilst the 2008 Rosé
combines just the right amount of sweetness with a crisp finish and will make a very friendly welcome at your next BBQ or casual dinner party.
And red wine lovers will not be disappointed with the superb 2007 Shiraz which offers the palate flavours of berry, spice and chocolate with a hint of smoky oak. Based on the success of this Shiraz, the Singlefile Estate wine makers are already planning to add new red wines to the line-up in coming vintages. Customers subscribing to our newsletter will be the first to hear about new varietals and blends.
So from the team at Singlefile Estate we want to thank you for your interest and support in the Estate and we look forward to getting to know you, as you get to know us, as we embark on a wonderful wine experience together. There are great things in store, so please keep in touch through our newsletter and website and tell your friends to join our mailing list too – we love adding to our community!
Cheers!
