Release of our three new red wines
Singlefile Estate's 2008 red wines are now available to purchase online -
Merlot ($22),
Cabernet Merlot ($24), and
Shiraz ($33).
Below is a summary of our three new wines.
2008 Merlot
The Pleasure: Red colour without being intense, this wine has a lifted nose of dill, spice and
earthiness and a medium-weighted palate of soft silky tannins, red berry fruits,
subtle integrated oak and good length. A delight to drink now and will keep well
over the next few years.

2008 Cabernet Merlot
The Pleasure: A mid to deep red colour, this wine is redolent of blackberries and herbal
characters with a middle weight palate of anise, earthiness, dusty tannins and
neatly-woven oak. An easy-drinking, well-balanced red wine that is delightful
with a leg of lamb sprigged with rosemary and garlic.

2008 Shiraz
The Pleasure: Mid to deep red colour with a violet rim, this wine shows classical earthy white
pepper aromas of cool-climate shiraz and a long medium-weighted palate of red
berries, kitchen spice, light oak treatment and cleansing acidity on the finish.
The tannins are youthful and grippy.
